Heather Rae Swan Island 2018.jpg

I am a certified integrative nutrition health coach and functional genomic analyst,  informed by chiropractic, traditional naturopathy, and functional, environmental and energetic medicine and eastern spiritual practices.

My passion is to offer a cohesive approach toward health and vitality that honors and supports the power of nature.

My practice embraces the healing of mind, body and spirit, and respects the current wealth and rich history of scientific health knowledge, outside the conventional germ-based allopathic model.

Spurred by frustrations in finding answers to my own health issues, I have invested over a decade studying the root causes of dysfunction.

After years of looking for software to support and analyze lab testing and other health information, I discovered the cutting-edge Functional Genomic Analysis software, created by NutriGenetic Research Institute.

This software, the data it analyzes and the specialized supplements it recommends are instrumental in my practice. Supplements are not the focus of our work together but I do offer online dispensaries of premium supplements at 10% discount pricing for my clients.

Prior to this practice, I worked in the high-tech, energy, and telecommunications industries, focusing on data and marketing.  This experience includes certification in building science which highlights the importance of healthy indoor environments.

My education in health began in a chiropractic office where I initiated functional medicine and patient data systems, and attended the Standard Process corporate wellness training program.

I post regularly to uncensored social media platforms on functional genomics, nutrition and related topics.

I earned degrees from Phillips Exeter Academy and Wesleyan University and am self-educated in nutritional biochemistry and functional medicine through myriad entities such as: Functional Immunology (Cogence), The College of Integrative Medicine, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, the Institute for Functional Medicine, Functional Medicine University, Khan Academy, Dr. Datis Kharrazian, Dr. Dicken Weatherby, Michael McEvoy, Dr. Chris Masterjohn, Dr. John Bergman, Ivor Cummins, Sayer Ji, Dr.Alex Vasquez ... and many others.

I am certified by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, NutriGenetic Research Institute and Elite AcademyHRV.

These two certifications in the health effects, diagnosis, treatment, as well as building inspection and remediation, of mold and its toxins, complements certification in 'green building and consulting in healthy residential indoor air quality.

Elite HRV is a widely used and top-rated HRV application.

NutriGenetic Research Institute trains health professionals in nutritional and lifestyle coaching based upon an individual's genetic pathways/patterns, labs and symptoms.  Naturopath and founder, Robert Miller, created MethylGenetic Nutrition Analysis software and has received awards for his presentations to the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS).

The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) was founded in 1992 by Joshua Rosenthal. Once a small classroom of passionate students in New York City, it is now the largest nutrition health coaching school in the world.

"Heather Rae has been my health coach for about six months now and I can’t recommend her enough.  She’s incredibly knowledgeable on all things health and wellness and particularly helpful in putting into perspective what protocols will work for YOU (and for me that’s key because there is so much information out there).  As a client, you really feel like she is invested in you mind, body and spirit, and that you are getting authoritative, cutting-edge advice.  She’s a pro as a coach and a delight as a human being. I honestly look forward to our bi-weekly calls and feel like I have learned something new and useful each time.  I am incredibly thankful that she came into my life and think you will, too."    Claire D.
