"We are taught in functional medicine, the gut is the most important area that needs to be treated first ... you won't be able to fix that biome until you fix the mold, because it's triggering the

Cell Danger Response."

~ Dr. Neil Nathan, "Toxic.  Heal Your Body from Mold Toxicity, Lyme Disease, Multiple Chemical Sensivities, and Chronic Environmental Illness"

The Functional Genomic Pyramid

Protocol

(example)

We begin with the foundation: inflammation and oxidative stress, and work up to methylation (MTHFR).  Supplementing for MTHFR can backfire if this foundation is not addressed first!

The Inflammation

Pathways Map

Enzymes (genes), environmental toxins, and beneficial compounds, all play a role in inflammation and oxidative stress. No one element is solely responsible for chronic health conditions.

The Holmes Cycle

Hypothesis

A feedback loop of inflammation, the Holmes Cycle illustrates how specific  genetic weaknesses contribute to chronic health conditions.

Nutritional Support

for Genetics

(example)

EpiGenetics:  Genes (enzymes) are given the nutritional support they need to function well using dietary changes and personalized blends of vitamins, minerals, botanicals, and adaptogens.

Peroxynitrite

a powerful oxidant!

Health conditions* can trace back to nitric oxide:  variants in enzymes (genes) and environmental toxins can wind up making the damaging molecule called peroxynitrite instead of nitric oxide (NO)

* neurodegenerative disorders, myocardial infarction, chronic heart failure, stroke, diabetes, circulatory shock, cancer, chronic inflammatory conditions

RBTI

Ionization Test

RBTI is the abbreviated term for Reams Biological Theory of Ionization.  RBTI is a working explanation about the fundamental ionic energy composition and function of biological life.  This theory was discovered, developed by agronomist, biochemist and mathematician, Dr. Carey A. Reams, beginning in the 1930's.

RBTI testing is a non-invasive seven part test completed on fresh samples of urine and saliva.  There are six tests done on the urine sample: total carbohydrate, pH, conductivity, cell debris, nitrate nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen. Saliva is measured for pH.

The RBTI is a real-time mathematical analysis of what is taking place within the electro-biochemical structure of the human body.  It reveals the intricate cause and effect of the physiological dysfunctional patterns demonstrated through the urine and saliva analysis.

The purpose of RBTI is to analyze and identify previously unrecognized electro-biochemical dysfunctions taking place within the human body, thereby allowing the creation of a set of personal life-style recommendations that will address and reverse those unrecognized dysfunctional patterns.

You may purchase RBTI test equipment and test strips to monitor your own levels at home or work with an RBTI functional nutritionist.
