Health History & Consult

My practice is a collaborative effort with my clients, and it is based on three key principles:

the body and mind are designed to self-heal if given the right tools and information: an unobstructed spine, a balanced autonomic nervous system, a diverse microbiome, proper nutrients, gut integrity, and toxin reduction;

there is no one diet, no one exercise, treatment or supplement that fits all, since everyone is biochemically and genetically unique with an our own birth story, stress, family heritage, lifestyle ... and myriad epi-genetic expressions;

the mind-body-spirit connection, and a bond to the earth and community, are essential for health and vitality.
In your first consult we will discuss your health concerns, health history, and life goals. This meeting is an opportunity to explore the root causes of your health conditions from an eye-opening perspective entirely different from that of standard-of-care allopathic (symptoms-based) disease management.
In this consultation we will order your DNA and organic acids test kits (see "Testing How-To" for details.) Once you have ordered the DNA kit, you will have access to the 'Know Your DNA' online portal. The portal lists your genes and several reports. You will receive a genomic analysis as part of the consultation.
My practice is informed heavily by osteo/chiropractic, naturopathic, environmental, genetic, personal, and energetic medicine. Please ask me any questions you may have about those disciplines and functional health coaching!

Laboratory tests contribute immensely to our work together. They include a genetic variant test, an organic acids test, a DUTCH hormone panel, and a CBC with differential. A mycotoxin (mold immunoglobulin) test is recommended.
You will order the genetic variant test through me (it is fulfilled by a lab at Rutgers University in New Jersey, USA in coordination with Thermo Fisher Scientific and Nutri-Genetic Research Institute.)
You will order the other tests on your own through one of several online lab test services, such as MyMedLab. There are two labs offering organic acid tests: Metametrix/Genova, and Great Plains Labs.
We are not looking for disease, nor are we addressing disease; instead, we are looking at how well your body functions at the cellular level, unfolding a cutting-edge new world of health data unique to you.
This data indicates how well you are able to use nutrients, and how well you are able to expel wastes (detoxify) from natural metabolism and exogenous influences like electromagnetic frequencies, pollutants in our air, pesticides in our food, and mycotoxins in our living spaces (to name just a few of many).
You will need the results of these two tests to fully participate in the personalized wellness coaching program.

Coaching Program with
Genetic Nutrition Analysis

Our objective in the program is to identify the environment and information unique to you, and to help you use that information to make changes in your life to reach the goals set during the health history consult.
You will have regular access to me to discuss your progress and pitfalls. My role is sounding board, mentor, teacher, advocate, champion and researcher ... to support you as you make changes in your diet and lifestyle.
I will also work with you as you evaluate the many influences on your overall well-being. Those influences can be relationships, work, physical environment, exercise, and beliefs.
We begin with the RBTI energy analysis, hydration, and a 'cleanup' of your environment (personal care and cleaning products, food, and water).
This work will improve function of your liver, kidneys, and gut (the integrity of the endothelial lining ("leaky gut"), gut micriobiome diversity). We will address key elements of autonomic nervous system and biochemical balance.
We will be looking at habits and dig deep into potential underlying root causes of your health concerns, exploring test results, and signs and symptoms questionnaires, and your progress in making changes based on those findings.
Your online questionnaire and the results of the genetic test and the organic acids test will be loaded into a secure, HIPAA-compliant software created by NutriGenetic Research Institute.
The software is a guide to deficiencies in your ability to use nutrients and eliminate toxic waste. It also suggests supplements for deficiencies that contribute to ill-health.
You will receive a detailed report, based on this sample report. These reports take a lot of time to research and write, and reflect my best analysis of your situation, in the evolving science of genomics and epi-genetics..
